Nancy and Owen’s loft was simply perfect for a weekend getaway! As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the very accommodating couple, who showed us to the loft. They provided us with a gorgeous little apartment with spectacular views of the surrounding vineyards. The loft surpassed our expectations with a few extra amenities, including refreshments, video streaming services like Netflix, and complimentary tasting cards for some local wineries. The decor inside and out was very tasteful and fitting for the scenery. The property was tucked away in a perfectly quiet area, but was just close enough to everything we wanted to see on our visit that we never felt like we had to travel far. The gate to the house made it feel very private and secure and the grounds were absolutely stunning! Nancy and Owen were very attentive when needed, but certainly allowed us our privacy. We hope to return for another lovely stay!

Nancy was a great host, place was well appointed, very clean and had many nice touches. Bed was very comfortable as well. 5 stars all the way around.

Nancy’s place is phenomenal. You’ll wake up to a breathtaking view over vineyards, and she’ll accommodate your travel needs. Highly recommend this hidden gem :)

What a gem! I stayed in the loft on the second floor which provide a gorgeous view of vineyards with the mountains in the background. The bed was super comfortable and the amenities were first-class. Nancy and Owen are fabulous hosts. The snacks were tasty and refilled upon request. I will definitely stay here on my next visit to the area.

This newly built and enchanting cottage perched above a rolling, vast mosaic of vineyards, dotted with stately oaks is the epitome of a secluded and serene hideaway. Once entering the grand gates of this lovely, French country estate, a lavender-lined drive, framed by lush, rolling vineyards lures one in to aromatic, romantic, rose gardens, stone paths, a trickling, melodious fountain, birdsong and a delightful fairytale cottage! Stone, private patios cradled by quaint grapestake fences invite you to relax while sipping Owen and Nancy’s complimentary bottle of velvety wine, and gazing over a carpet of verdant vines and glorious sunsets! Every luxurious amenity is meticulously and thoughtfully offered from fluffy, plush, pristine bath towels to a dreamy night’s sleep in a comfortable King size bed. Antique French posters adorn the walls, wood casement windows open to soft breezes and endless, country views that soothe your soul. A reclining sofa, overstuffed chairs, remote A/C and gorgeous gas fireplace, cuddly throws, guide books, games, movies and a variety of drinks and snacks provide the cozy comforts of home. The compact gourmet kitchen and dining table provides everything you need to create a delightful dinner and dine with mesmerizing, vineyard views! Grapestake Cottage is a fairytale dream come true; this gorgeous estate is pristine and meticulously cared for by such a warm and lovely couple! End your search for the perfect, luxurious reprieve; you have found beauty, casual elegance, romance and serenity here, at Grapestake Cottage! Truly, a piece of heaven on earth! This place is awesome! Nancy and Owen are the nicest people and their place is spectacular. Extremely warm and welcoming. Everything is super clean and you just feel relaxed once you step onto their property. We can't thank them enough for their hospitality. We will be seeing you again soon.

Nancy and Owen were the most wonderful hosts. The loft is gorgeous — the view across the vineyard is spectacular, the party shower is luxurious and the experience is that of a deluxe hotel. Nancy and Owen take pride in creating a relaxing and special experience on their vineyard. Nancy and Owen take personal care of you from the moment you arrive — greeting you at the gate, showing you the property and even a barrel tasting of their terrific Syrah and Zin. Their cats are terrific fun and the patio is a wonderful place to drink coffee in the morning and wine under the string lights in the evening. We did get to take a peak in the cottage, which if you are staying there is a real treat! Lofted ceilings, chef worthy cooking area, comfy reclining chairs in the living room, great bedroom area and lots of special touches throughout. The location is great. Close to so many wineries and downtown. Hearst Castle and San Luis Abisto are each about half an hour away. Both definitely worth a visit. Uber is your friend here! We never waited more than 5 minutes from or back to the vineyard. Nancy has recommendations for everything and clearly knows the area so well. Overall a magical stay. I would recommend to everyone and anyone and if I am back again, I will absolutely be staying!
